GOODBYE FACEBOOK. YOU ZUCKER

Hello there, it is rather another day once again. Thank you Lord that i am writing another blog for the day.

So, i’m here at my desk eating breakfast while writing this, honestly my mood right now is a bit annoyed, especially that i had to deal with one stupendous act that just happened few minutes ago. I would not go in to the details to save you (to whoever is reading this) from being pissed off too.

Anyway, I usually read the yahoo-news whenever i sign in -i read what is for me- “worth reading/interesting” be it irrelevant or relevant to how sane or insane this world has become. Also regularly checking some blog-sites  tumblr sites and I constantly check my Facebook account too, as a matter of fact i check it maybe more than 10 times in an hour. It has been my go-to whenever i need to check the hourly or sometimes minute-to-minute update from my friends and family members, somehow it has become something personal to me. Its where i post my recent happenings and stuff that i wanted to share but of course, its always limited to my real friends or people whom i allow to see what’s been going on with me.

Recently one of my friends shared this link to me http://krebsonsecurity.com/2013/01/what-you-need-to-know-about-the-java-exploit/ this is an article on how we have been JAVA dependent all these years and how they’re taking control over our computers so far. Please read the article for better understanding.

So while we were talking about how to prevent this unresolvable issue of “taking over” and silently controlling our computers which sometimes contains a lot of vital information that we wouldn’t want to share just with anyone right?

Now here comes this article, http://finance.yahoo.com/news/privacy-guide-facebooks-graph-search-224505136.html which made my decision final about deleting my Facebook account. True that i’m just a “needle” in a haystack and there are tons of people who will still patronize Facebook after all, but i patronize privacy, true that in our modern times people now are more computer literate and involved, but i can only dip the tip of my toes in that ocean of the social media crap – that’s all i can share. I still believe that life should still have a room for privacy since not everyone is part of the Kardashian empire (not as if i want to publicize my life) but i can only share too much.

It alarms me, that Facebook has the capability to sell our personal information, they also have the freedom to share some if not all of our/my information that we/i don’t want everyone to know. Their privacy policy changes together with how they quickly change interfaces from one to another? That is just plainly fucked up for me.

I have deleted it, and i will never create another one ever again. It is their way to profit by selling our hard-work,  our intimate moments or/and our lives. You have the freedom to stay in that social networking site, but for me? I’ve chosen to be free from creeps, free from an organization or company or whatever bullshit you call it who gets information without my knowledge and SELLS IT? No sir, thank you.

Oh well, nuff said.

HAPPY WEEEEEKEEEEND!
